Project Management
At IRange, Project Management aims to organize and follow-up work in the project and this is done through carefully set plans and estimates and ensuring that all affected project members agree to their commitments, tracking results and performance and taking corrective actions when things deviate from the plans and finally document the project experience to serve for future reference.
The project management process includes a number of process elements that are held during the project’s life cycle, listed below are brief descriptions of these process elements:
-
Initiation:
Identifying the standards and Life Cycle Model for software development and the tools to be used on the project.
-
Estimation: Identifying project size, effort, and cost. These estimates are used to develop and define project’s schedule, project’s team organization and non-human resources.
-
Risk Planning: Identify project’s risks, assess and assign priority to each risk and finally plan for mitigation and contingencies.
-
Finalize Project Plan: To consolidate the project master plan with product development plan, quality assurance plan, and configuration management plan, peer reviewing plan and estimation data.
-
Monitor and Control: To determine whether the project is on track or not, take corrective actions when the project deviates significantly from the Project Management Plan.
-
Closure: May involve data analysis to suggest process improvements and lesson learnt
